The water & caustic soda are weighed out

And mixed together

Then left to cool down

The oils are weighed out

Then slowly melted at a low temperature

The mold is prepared

The oils have fully melted

The caustic solution is slowly added to the oil

Then well stirred to be fully incorporated

I then use a stickblender to speed up saponification

The "trace" stage is reached

The soap is poured into the mold

Gelling

A few hours later the soap has hardened & pulls free from the sides of the mold

The hard block of soap is unmolded

Being cut into bars
0
Then left to dry & cure for a few weeks

A bar of soap ready to use!
